Who I am

I'm Taylor, a Fire Inspector with Vail Fire and Emergency Services and the owner of Trailhead Property Prep. I combine my background in fire safety inspections with professional property photography to help short-term rental owners, property managers, and realtors in Colorado's mountain communities get their properties listing-ready and compliant.

Why I started this

After spending some time conducting fire inspections and seeing how important quality documentation is for property owners, I realized there was a gap in the market. STR owners needed someone who could provide both professional photos for their listings and help them navigate the increasingly complex safety requirements that counties are implementing. Photography has been a passion of mine for years, so combining these skills made perfect sense.

I'm an ICC-certified Fire Inspector I/II and Plans Examiner with training from the National Fire Academy. I'm extremely familiar with both the International Fire code and NFPA, so I know exactly what local authorities are looking for when they inspect STRs. This inside knowledge helps property owners avoid common pitfalls and pass inspections on the first try.

Credentials

You'll find me exploring Colorado's trails, working on my guitar skills, testing out new photography techniques, or spending time with my 4 year old daughter. I'm an Arizona native who relocated to the mountains for the lifestyle and the work—and I haven't looked back.
